Bassist Alex James commented, “Great memories from this one.” The band also shared a newly restored version of the original Parklife single. The album was Blur’s commercial breakthrough and also gave us the hit singles Girls & Boys, End Of A Century and To The End.

The sharing of the behind the scenes footage comes shortly after Blur frontman Damon Albarn told the crowd at their second Coachella show, “In the spirit of clarity and truth, this is probably our last gig”. Albarn had said at the end of 2023 that the band would be slowing down for 2024. “It is time to wrap up this campaign,” he said back in December. “It’s too much for me. It was the right thing to do and an immense honour to play these songs again.” The band currently have no dates planned after Coachella.

In other Blur news, it was recently revealed that the Britpop heroes have two new films in the works – a documentary and a concert film – charting their hugely successful 2023 reunion. The projects will document the recording and release of their first album in eight years, The Ballad Of Darren, as well as the huge shows that followed – including the two headline shows at Wembley Stadium in London last summer.

Last year Albarn revealed that he is also working on an opera, which will put German playwright Johann Wolfgang von Goethe’s The Magic Flute Part Two to music for the first time.
