A statement from TidalWave Comics reads, “Rolling Stone named her the ‘reigning queen of rock and roll’ and named her one of the 100 greatest songwriters of all time. She’s been honored by the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame – twice, received eight Grammy nominations, and won two as a solo artist and one with her band, Fleetwood Mac. Stevie Nicks’ passion and unrelenting drive to succeed as an artist are explored in this new comic book from TidalWave Comics. After reading it, we think you’ll agree that Nicks is a “Female Force.”

Writer Michael Frizell, an educator at Missouri State University in Springfield said, “There’s a popular meme that talks about how Taylor Swift writes sad songs about her exes, but Stevie Nicks makes her exes sing songs she wrote about them explaining how horrible they are, and every time I see it, I laugh. Stevie’s fearlessness makes her a rock legend and explains her staying power and popularity.”

The Female Force series tells the stories of prominent and influential authors, business executives, entertainers, journalists, politicians, and activists. Previous titles have profiled Dolly Parton, Kamala Harris, Tina Turner, Betty White, Michelle Obama, Barbra Streisand to Cher and Gloria Steinem.

The announcement comes days after Nicks announced the remaining dates of her US tour. Tickets are available here.
