Rockonteurs Announce First-Ever Live Podcast
Rockonteurs – the acclaimed podcast from Gary Kemp and Guy Pratt – has announced its first ever live show. Tickets are available here.
Taking place at the Screen On The Green (Upper St, London, N1 0NP) – from 7pm on Thursday 25 May, Gary and Guy will be in conversation with The Sex Pistols’ Glen Matlock and Buzzcocks’ Steve Diggle.
The show will celebrate a defining moment in British music history when the Sex Pistols, Buzzcocks and The Clash performed at Screen On The Green Cinema on Sunday 29 August 1976, a crucial moment in the start of the Punk movement. Both guests performed at the historic event, with future Spandau Ballet member Gary Kemp an impressed young audience member.
The live show is taking place as part of The Podcast Show 2023, the biggest international festival for the business of podcasting, returning to London for the second year this May. Gary and Guy will also be speaking at the Show during the day of 25th, all about ‘Making a No. 1 Music Podcast’, from inception to live show.
Rockonteurs hosts Gary and Guy… “This is so exciting for so many reason – we’ve wanted to do the Rockonteurs Live for a while now, and to have the opportunity to do this as part of The Podcast Show Live and with Glen and Steve, two iconic figures of British punk, in the venue where it all began was too good an opportunity to miss.”
As well as an intimate opportunity to learn more about this historic event first hand at the venue in question, Gary Crowley, himself an integral part of the punk movement in London, will be DJing at the afterparty (same venue).
And, available now by signing up via AnotherSlice, fans of the Rockonteurs podcast can get a new Premium version with extra content, early access to tickets for live Podcast recordings and lots of other benefits.
