Ed Sheeran, Doja Cat Confirmed To Headline Rock In Rio Lisbon 2024
Joining Ed Sheeran and Scorpions, Doja Cat has been announced as the latest headliner for the Lisbon, Portugal edition of Rock In Rio 2024. The festival is slated to occur across the second and third weekend in June.
Rock In Rio Lisbon 2024 marks Doja Cat’s first time playing in the event. Also, her scheduled show on June 23, 2024 gives her the honor of closing out the festival. In a statement, Roberta Medina, the Executive Vice President of Rock in Rio, spoke about the notable occasion: “To have Doja Cat headlining our lineup for the first time in Portugal is a privilege! It’s going to be four days of great joy to recharge the energy of everyone who passes through the City of Rock. As you can see from the names already announced, we’ve got rock, pop, hip-hop… music for the most mature to the youngest.”

Other big names confirmed for the event include Scorpions and Evanescence on 15 June. Ed Sheeran, Calum Scott, and Jão will perform the following day. Doja Cat, Camila Cabello, Luísa Sonza, and Pedro Sampaio will perform on June. No entertainers have been announced for 22 June as of yet.
Rock In Rio 2024 is set to take place on 15, 16, 22, and 23 June 2024, at Parque Tejo in Lisboa, Portugal. Visit the event’s official website for further information.
Also in Ed Sheeran news, the singer-songwriter recently announced 2024 tour dates for the Asia leg of his ‘+ – = ÷ x’ tour. He’ll play nine shows across the continent from January to March 2024, including dates in Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and India.
Sheeran recently released his latest album, Autumn Variations, and has hinted that it is the first in a series of albums based on the seasons.
He told fans at a pop-up for Autumn Variations: “I am planning on doing a ‘Summer Variations’, and ‘Spring Variations’, and there will be [a ‘Winter Variations’ album]. But that isn’t what’s coming after this [Autumn Variations]… We’ve got a big pop record.”
