Morrissey Announces 12″ Reissue Of Siouxsie Duet ‘Interlude’
Morrissey has announced that his 1984 duet with Siouxsie Sioux, Interlude – a cover of the Timi Yuro track – will be reissued on a limited edition 12″ to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

The track was recorded during the recording sessions for Morrissey’s fourth solo LP Vauxhall And I and was produced by Morrissey’s then-guitarist and musical director Boz Boorer.
The former Smiths singer and Sioux each recorded a solo version of the entire track and the final version was mixed from their two versions. The single was released in the summer of 1994 and peaked No 25 in the UK Singles Chart.
A note on Morrissey’s official website reads, “To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Morrissey and Siouxsie’s duet Interlude, the 12-inch disc will soon be re-issued on limited gold vinyl. Watch this space for dates. The disc is pressed on the Roulette label by Warner (London), and it was originally released by Parlophone, reaching number 25. There was no video for this recording, no television appearances, and no photo sessions.”
Morrissey has recently completed solo tours of South America, North America, Asia and Australia with his current touring band – Jesse Tobias (guitars), Juan Galeano (bass guitar), Carmen Vandenberg (guitar), Camila Grey (keyboards), and Brendan Buckley (drums).
The singer was recently in the news for a sharply worded tribute to the late Sinéad O’Connor. Praising her “proud vulnerability”, he wrote on his website: “There is a certain music industry hatred for singers who don’t ‘fit in’ (this I know only too well), and they are never praised until death – when, finally, they can’t answer back […] You praise her now ONLY because it is too late. You hadn’t the guts to support her when she was alive and she was looking for you…
