Johnny Marr, Pretenders and Natalie Imbruglia have all been added to the line-up for Barclaycard presents The Isle of Wight Festival 2024.
The legendary British summer festival returns to its favoured location of Seaclose Park in Newport between 20 and 23 June 2024 and the already stacked bill has now got even bigger.
As well as the artists listed above, Feeder, pop group S Club, and former Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan are among the new additions. Irish Singer-songwriter Cian Ducrot, rising UK pop star Caity Baser and indie rockers Wunderhorse have also been confirmed.
The new crop of artists join previously confirmed headliners The Prodigy, Pet Shop Boys and Green Day.
The Streets, Keane, Simple Minds, Suede, Scouting For Girls, Blossoms, Nothing But Thieves, Crowded House, The Darkness, and more were also announced in the first announcement. For tickets and further information about the 2024 Isle of Wight Festival, visit the event’s official website.
Meanwhile, headliners Pet Shop Boys just shared their latest single, Loneliness, from their upcoming album, Nonetheless.
The legendary electronic duo – comprising Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe – returned to using an orchestra for their upcoming James Ford-produced collection, which is due out on April 26, and is a follow-up to 2020’s Hotspot.
Premiering the new single on the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show with Zoe Ball last week, Neil Tennant said: “When we made it, it was written, a lot of it was written, during lockdown. So, we wrote a tonne of songs. And more or less every track, in fact, every track, has got an orchestra on it, but it’s not like an orchestra album. It’s a very melodic sort of album, our last three albums have been strictly electronic and this one we’ve gone back to using an orchestra but also, of course, with electronics.”
