Manchester City fan Liam has some experience, as he was the voice of the trams last autumn. He helped to help launch new music festival and conference Beyond The Music by encouraging people to use the Greater Manchester Bee Network to travel there, at the request of Manchester mayor Andy Burnham. Typically, Liam used the opportunity to give a shout out to his team.
This weekend, his new musical partner and Manchester United fan John Squire will take to the tannoys to redress the balance. Passengers travelling via Manchester city centre tram stops and the Ashton line from midday on Sunday should listen out.
Andy Burnham said: “We’re buzzing that, once again, Liam is supporting the Bee Network and his home town. I for one can’t wait to hear the new album with John Squire. By all accounts, it is a new Manchester classic and it is brilliant that GM-based fans will get the chance to win exclusive prizes. Football, music and the Bee Network. Sounds like the perfect Sunday to me!”
The news comes days after the release of Gallagher and Squire’s self titled album. Gallagher celebrated the release with a post on his socials reading, “Mine and John’s new album is out today. It’s crucial, it’s spiritual, it’s celestial, it’s majestical it’s biblical. Turn it up enjoy! LGx”
