Pecos & The Rooftops Share New Single, ‘Sweet Tumbleweed’: Listen
Pecos & The Rooftops have shared their powerful new single Sweet Tumbleweed, released on Warner Records. Check out the visualiser below.
The track nods to the band’s love of classic rock and country with their trademark vivid storytelling and dynamic instrumentation. Plaintive piano cuts through acoustic guitar, and frontman Pecos Hurley draws listeners into the moment, “She leaves her boots out by the front door to let me know she needs a change of scene.” Grasping onto what’s left of the relationship before it slips away, his robust vocals take hold on the hook, “I don’t say goodbye when it comes time to let her go. I’ll catch you down the road sweet tumbleweed.”
Sweet Tumbleweed is the follow-up to Missing Peace, the group’s first release since their 2023 self-titled debut album. Since its release, Pecos & The Rooftops has generated almost a quarter of a billion streams and attracted praise from critics. Music Connection chronicled their rise and highlighted how “the country rockers continued kicking up dust through touring and recording.” Holler wrote, “It’s a close-knit sense of camaraderie that shines through in their live shows.”
Anchored by the heart-baring songwriting and booming voice of former Marine Pecos Hurley, the band is rounded out by top-tier players and songwriters Brandon Jones (rhythm guitar), Jessie Santos (lead guitar), Kalen Davis (bass), Garrett Peltier (drums) and Hunter Cassell (guitars & keys).
The band are currently on a headline tour of the United States with more dates to be announced soon. “At the end of the day, I just want to help people with our music, honestly,” Hurley says.
