When SheKnows spoke to Seacrest and Ora last year, they gushed about hosting the New Year’s Eve countdown. “It is a marathon,” Seacrest said. “It’s got 10,000 moving parts that are all over the world, not just in Times Square.” Ora shared her excitement, saying: “Doing this show is such an honor and it’s a huge compliment.”

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve will air Tuesday, 31 December, live on ABC beginning at 8 p.m. EST and stream next day on Hulu.

This year’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve will include performances from Jonas Brother, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Lenny Kravitz, Tinashe, Teddy Swims, Cody Johnson, Thomas Rhett, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, TLC, Alanis Morissette and Megan Moroney, and many more.

Carrie Underwood will close out 2024 with a performance in Times Square just before the ball drops.

“I have such fun memories of performing on New Year’s Rockin’ Eve in Times Square in both 2007 and 2015, and I’m so excited to perform just before the ball drops again this year,” the Before He Cheats singer said in a statement revealing her performance. “I’m thrilled to celebrate 20 years since winning American Idol by joining Ryan as he hosts his 20th New Year’s Eve in Times Square.”
