The line-up for the LA leg has also been announced, with Stevie Wonder headlining and the likes of Adam Lambert, Chloe x Halle, Demi Lovato, H.E.R., ONEREPUBLIC, Ozuna, The Lumineers and 5 Seconds of Summer all performing live.
Concerts will also take place in Lagos, Paris, New York City, Rio de Janeiro, Sydney, Seoul, Mumbai and more. Elsewhere in Duran Duran news, the band recently announced two intimate performances in their hometown of Birmingham on 14-15 September 2021 ahead of the release of their highly-anticipated new album, Future Past, due out on 22 October. Tickets go on sale for the September performances at 9am Friday 27 August at LiveNation.co.uk. The shows will be their first in Birmingham since their December 2015 gig at the city’s Genting Arena.
Back in May, the band spoke to Laura Barton of The Guardian about their collaborators on the new album with drummer Roger Taylor suggesting that Giorgio Moroder was, “the first person who could tell us exactly what to do. He comes in like a doctor, with his suitcase with his little keyboard inside.” Singer Simon LeBon also spoke highly of Blur’s inventive guitarist Graham Coxon, who has “given so much life and surprise to the music.”
