“The long-awaited return of Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball with Barclaycard will see the biggest hit music artists take to the stage and we can’t wait,” said Ashley Tabor-King OBE, Founder & Executive President of Global. “With global superstars and some of the hottest UK talent set to play the Ball this Christmas, we have another phenomenal weekend of live performances in store.”
The line-up for the Sunday leg of Jingle Bell Ball 2021 will be announced on Capital Breakfast With Roman Kemp from 8am GMT tomorrow (November 4).
Coldplay will hit the stage after an exceptionally successful year, even by their high standards. They released their ninth studio album, Music Of The Spheres, in October and it’s the fastest-selling UK album of 2021 so far with 101,000 chart sales in its opening week. They’ve also been in the news this week for selling more than a million tickets across Europe for their Music Of The Spheres tour, due to kick off in South America in March 2022. The tour, which will include six nights at Wembley Stadium, has been billed as an “eco-friendly” tour, with unprecedented efforts to make the tour as carbon-neutral as possible.
Meanwhile, the Jingle Bell Ball will be Justin Bieber’s only live show in Europe this year and his first major performance in the UK since 2017, following an intimate acoustic session in London at the start of 2020.
