Simply Red Confirmed For 2022 Edinburgh Summer Sessions
Edinburgh Summer Sessions has announced eighties soul stars Simply Red are to join the line-up alongside Tom Jones, Travis and Lionel Ritchie which will take place in August 2022 for the first time in two years due to COVID-19.
Tickets for the Simply Red show, on 9 August, go on sale at 9am on Friday 26 November. A pre-sale will also begin at 9am on Thursday 25 November for subscribers to the Edinburgh Summer Sessions newsletter. Tickets for Simply Red’s show will cost £84.40 for general access to the inner bowl, £73.10 for general access to the outer bowl, and £111 for VIP tickets.
The Edinburgh show comes in addition to the ‘Holding Back The Years’ band’s full arena tour of the UK next year, which includes dates in Manchester, Glasgow, London and Brighton. Tickets for the tour are on sale now.
Edinburgh Summer Sessions is a popular music festival held every summer in the Scottish capital was previously rescheduled due to covid-19 but is looking forward to coming back with a bang and have now announced the addition of Simply Red to the incredible festival line-up that takes place between 7 and 14 August 2022 within the stunning setting of Princes Street Gardens.
Last month, Simply Red were also announced as headliners for the opening night of next summer’s Nocturne Live concert series at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire. Simple Minds and David Gray (celebrating the 20th anniversary of his seminal album White Ladder) on the line-up for the popular concert series, which will run across five nights from Wednesday June 15th to Sunday June 19th 2022. Support acts for next summer’s event include the likes of Macy Gray, Deacon Blue, Brand New Heavies, Nerina Pallot, Jimmy Cliff, Aswad and James Morrison.
