The genre-busting first wave of acts for 2025’s Mad Cool line-up has been unveiled. Leading charge at the massive Madrid fest next summer are Alanis Morissette, Olivia Rodrigo, Kings Of Leon, Iggy Pop, Weezer, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Benson Boone, Gracie Abrams, Noah Kahan, St. Vincent and more.

Elsewhere, you can also catch the likes of FIDLAR, PVRIS, Circa Waves and Blondshell, as well as saying goodbye to Refused, between 10 and 12 July at the Iberdrola Music venue in Villaverde. The festival organisers have announced this year had undergone a series of improvements including a reduction in the number of stages, as well as a general reduction in public capacity to reduce schedule conflicts and artist overlaps.

General ticket sales kicked off on 23 December. Visit the event’s official website for tickets and further information on Mad Cool 2025.

Iggy Pop and Alanis Morrisette will be making their return to the festival with the latter playing tracks from 1995’s multi-platinum hit Jagged Little Pill.

Other artists announced in the first wave of names include Weezer, who will be performing in Madrid for the first time in 20 years, Thirty Second to Mars, Gracie Abrams, St. Vincent, Justice, Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs, The Wombats, Jet and Glass Animals.

They will be joined by a host of alternative acts and rising stars like Foster the People, Future Islands, Bright Eyes, FIDLAR, Girl In Red, Finneas, Luvcat, Blondshell, Tanner Addell, Artemas, PVRIS, Royel Otis, Arde Bogotá, Natalia Lacunza, Alcalá Norte, and Leon Bridges with more to be announced.

The festival has cultivated a lively electronic and dance scene since it’s 2016 inception, with an entire stage specifically designated for it in The Loop, which this year hosted acts like The Blessed Madonna, DJ Koze, Bonobo and Jayda G.

Mad Cool’s 2024 edition of the festival also saw performances from Dua Lipa, Pearl Jam, Bring Me The Horizon, The Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage, Janelle Monáe, Nothing But Thieves, Tom Odell and more.
