Anne-Marie And Clean Bandit To Reunite On New Single
Anne-Marie and Clean Bandit are to reunite on a new single, Cry Baby, also featuring David Guetta. The single will be released on 9 August.
It’s the first time that Anne-Marie and Clean Bandit have worked together since their massive hit Rockabye (also featuring Sean Paul) became the UK Christmas No 1 back in 2016. Rockabye was the first song in chart history to become Christmas No 1 after already being at the top of the charts for six weeks. In total, the song spent nine weeks at the summit of the UK Singles Chart while also topping the charts in over 28 other countries.
Guetta commented, “So guys, I’m really excited, I’ve been a fan with Rather Be and Symphony, and I love that you’re so musical, as much as I love crazy sounds, I really love even more crazy music, so it was really the case always with you, so I’m so happy we could make this record finally together.
“The way it happened is, we have Anne-Marie as a common friend and you know that she sent me this song, and I was like what is this? This is fire, so the music wins over anything and your music has always been so beautiful, so I’m super happy we can make this record together finally.”
Clean Bandit’s Jack Patterson then responded saying: “We so honoured to work with you, it’s fantastic. We’re huge fans, so yeah, this is a dream come true!”
New mum Anne-Marie returned to the stage earlier this year for her Unhealthy Club (Summer Run) Tour, where she performed Cry Baby. Taking to Instagram, Anne-Marie confirmed the release date writing: ‘CRY BABY 💦 with @davidguetta and @cleanbandit is YOURS on AUGUST 9th 😍😍😍’.
