Avenged Sevenfold To Play US Stadium Shows With System Of A Down
System of a Down have added a second night to all three of the North American stadium shows they announced earlier this week due to “incredible demand.” Each of the initial shows sold out during the pre-sales.
As previously reported, each city will feature a different co-headliner. The updated schedule is as follows: 27 August (new show) and 28 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, with Korn; 31 August and 1 September (new show) at Soldier Field in Chicago with Avenged Sevenfold; and 3 September and 5 September (new show) at Rogers Stadium in Toronto with Deftones. All three concerts will feature opening sets by the bands Polyphia and Wisp.
The shows in Toronto will mark the first time a hard rock act will play two nights at the new Rogers Stadium.
Despite 19 years elapsing since they last released a new studio album, System of a Down continue to have a massive following, as the newly added shows indicate. See the band’s updated itinerary below.
Elsewhere in Avenged Sevenfold news, the band also recently revealed details of a European tour for the summer of 2025.
Following the news that the metal heavyweights will be headlining Rock For People festival in Czech Republic on 11 June, Avenged have announced they’ll be playing 12 huge shows on the continent throughout June including Tons Of Rock festival in Oslo and Zitadelle Spandau in Berlin.
