Charli posted a black-and-white photo featuring her posing with a person who fans have suggested is Eilish, thanks to the figure’s outfit and rings. If the speculation turns out to be true, it’d be the first time the two artists have collaborated. Last week, Charli responded to reports saying “Brat summer” is over. In a caption, she alluded to releasing new music, writing: “oh? see u next week :)”. Meanwhile, Brat was recently nominated for this year’s Mercury Music Prize.
Meanwhile, Charli XCX has shared footage of her Boiler Room set recorded at the legendary Ibiza club Amnesia on 13 July, watch below.
Charli launched her set with Brat‘s 365, following it with further tracks from the album including Guess, Club Classics and more. She also welcomed guests including The Dare, Zoe Glitter, Alex Chapman and George Daniel, who incorporated songs including Rico Nasty and Boys Noize’s Arintintin, Troye Sivan’s Rush, Da Hool’s Meet Her at the Loveparade and an edit of Robert Miles’ 1995 club classic Children.
“The reason I love electronic music and clubs and DJs so much is that everything is endless,” XCX said in her recent Billboard cover story. “Everything can be repurposed, reimagined. As a pop writer, I find that exciting. It was cool to use Boiler Room as a space to demonstrate that artists often make five different versions of a song and the song that is put out is not the only one.”
