Gary Kemp To Chair 2024 Roundhouse Gala Charity Committee
Gary Kemp guitarist, singer, songwriter, actor and co-founding member of Spandau Ballet has been announced as the Chair of the Roundhouse Gala Committee. He will spearhead the committee for March 2024’s Roundhouse Gala.
Lorna Clarke, Director of Music at the BBC, also joins Kemp on the Roundhouse Gala Committee as Vice-Chair.

The biennial Roundhouse Gala, ‘Rise Up For The Roundhouse,’ raises vital funds for the venue’s charitable work with 11-30 year-olds. Next year’s event takes place on Wednesday 20 March 2024.
In 2022, the Roundhouse Gala raised £1.2 million towards the venue’s vital youth programme. Each year, the Roundhouse works with 8,000 young people, providing them with life-changing opportunities in world-class facilities where young people can develop skills, grow as individuals or turn their creativity into a career.
Each year guests are treated to a sit-down dinner and performances from emerging and global talent. In previous years, performers have included Guy Garvey, Sam Smith, Beverley Knight and Ronnie Wood, with an auction of exclusive prizes including unique artwork and one-of-a-kind experiences.

Earlier this month, Gary Kemp was named a BMI Icon at the 2023 BMI London Awards, on 2 October at The Savoy Hotel.
The renowned singer/songwriter and accomplished actor was honoured for his illustrious career and enduring musical contributions, which have inspired legions of fans and music creators around the world. In addition, globally acclaimed producer Richard “P2J” Isong also receive the BMI Impact Award, a recognition given for ground-breaking artistry, creative vision and impact on the future of music. This marks the first time a producer has received this honour. The private event was hosted by BMI President & CEO Mike O’Neill.
