Green Day, Eddie Vedder To Play Innings Festival, Arizona
Green Day and Eddie Vedder have been announced as the headliners of Innings Festival 2023. Tickets go on sale here today (27 October) at 10AM PT.
Innings is held in Tempe, Arizona and runs concurrently with baseball’s spring training. (Many Major League Baseball teams travel to Arizona for preseason training, while others go to Florida.)

The 2023 edition of Innings will take place 25-25 February 2023 at Tempe Beach and Tempe Arts Park, with 18 acts including Green Day, Eddie Vedder, Weezer, Marcus Mumford, the Offspring, the Black Crowes, the Pretty Reckless, Hazel English, Umphrey’s McGee, the Head And The Heart, Heartless Bastards, and more. Additionally, several baseball retired pitchers will perform, including Ryan Dempster’s band Off The Mound, the Bronson Arroyo Band, and a baseball players’ jam hosted by Jake Peavy. There will also be appearances by former players such as the iconic Randy Johnson, aka the Big Unit, who, in addition to his successful photography business, is close friends with Rush’s Geddy Lee and his shot the band’s concerts.

After Innings, Green Day will headline the second instalment of When We Were Young festival in October 2023. The band have also recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of Nimrod with the announcement of a special box set reissue of the album. The 1997 album will be bundled with a clutch of demoes and a live album recorded at the Electric Factory, in Philadelphia, in 1997. Nimrod (25th Anniversary Edition) arrives 27 January next year, digitally, as a 5xLP, and as a 3xCD box set.
The vinyl box set comes with a 20-page large-format book, poster, cloth patch, slip-mat and commemorative backstage pass; the CD box set comes with the booklet, cloth patch and commemorative backstage pass.
