Jenny Lewis’ ‘The Voyager’ Celebrates Ten Years With Sea Blue Vinyl Edition
Jenny Lewis is set to unleash a tenth anniversary reissue of her 2014 album, The Voyager. The album’s new edition will be available on 25 October and it will be pressed on sea blue vinyl.

This new tenth anniversary vinyl edition features key tracks such as Just One Of The Guys, The Voyager, She’s Not Me and more. This is the former Rilo Kiley frontwoman’s third solo album – following on from 2006’s Rabbit Fur Coat and 2008’s Acid Tongue – and it documents her struggle to cope following the death of her estranged father in 2010 and the subsequent break-up of Rilo Kiley. It debuted at No.9 on North America’s Billboard 200 on its initial release in July 2014.
Revealing more about the making of the album in a 2014 interview with Rolling Stone, Lewis said: “Making The Voyager got me through one of the most difficult periods of my life. After Rilo Kiley broke up and a few really intense personal things happened, I completely melted down. It nearly destroyed me. I had such severe insomnia that, at one point, I didn’t sleep for five straight nights. Many of the songs on The Voyager came out of the need to occupy my mind in the moments when I just couldn’t shut down.”
The album received highly positive reviews, with Consequence of Sound saying, “It’s obvious that Lewis desperately needed to make The Voyager, and maybe it doesn’t really matter if it’s the album that the fans who still pray to her after all this time needed to hear. Her rich, heartbreaking voice remains…and her skilled musicianship still underpins every song.”
The Voyager finds the always relatable songwriter at her sharp-witted best, singing about her experiences with honesty and incisiveness.
