Joni Mitchell Gives Harry Styles Her Approval
Joni Mitchell has given Harry Styles her approval by posting on Twitter about his new album, Harry’s House. The title of Harry’s third album appears to have been taken from a track on Joni’s 1975 album The Hissing Of Summer Lawns. Joni then went on to tweet lyrics from her song, Harry’s House/Centrepiece, “Heatwaves on the runway/As the wheels set down/He takes his baggage off the carousel/He takes a taxi into town.”

Style’s third album since leaving One Direction will be released on 20 May, with the singer revealing the artwork and release date on his social media. After teasing fans with a series of cryptic posts across social media platforms, including the Twitter account You Are Home, it was finally revealed that Styles was behind the posts. It’s been confirmed that the album will feature 13 tracks, but the song titles and lead single are yet to be announced. Alongside the artwork, Styles has also released a Harry’s House trailer, which sees the singer take to the stage in an empty theatre.
The former One Direction singer is known to be a huge fan of Joni’s, telling Rolling Stone in 2019 that a track from his album Fine Line, Canyon Moon, was inspired by falling into “a pretty big Joni hole.” Harry’s mentor and close friend Stevie Nicks, who was also inspired by Joni, said the song is her favourite on his 2019 album.
