Kate Bush Congratulates LF System On Taking The UK No 1 Spot
Kate Bush has released a new statement congratulating LF System on taking her place at the top of the UK singles chart.
In the message, posted on her official site, Kate said,
“Many, many congratulations on the UK No. 1 single for LF SYSTEM.
So many of you have loved the last two episodes of Stranger Things, released last Friday. We’ve received an overwhelming number of messages. I just want to say again, how very proud I am that RUTH has been included in the shows in some small way.
Thank you everyone for supporting RUTH with such positivity. It’s lovely to see the song continuing to do so well around the world – it’s just boomeranged back to No 1 in Australia!
Hope you can get a chance to enjoy the arrival of summer.
Best wishes,
Kate”
The Kate Bush single Running Up That Hill is still riding high in worldwide charts following its use in season four of the hit Netflix show, Stranger Things. Last week Running Up That Gill returned to No 1 in the Global Weekly Spotify chart following the release of Part Two of Stranger Things season four. The song featured again in an epic scene in which all the characters in the show were pitted against almost insurmountable odds. An intense version of the song (called the TOTEM remix, from soundtrack composer duo Patrick Buchanan and David James Rosen) was used for the scene.
Meanwhile, Stranger Things actress Sadie Sink has spoken to Vulture about Kate’s music, “The amount of times that I’ve listened to her music over the past two years is ridiculous. It’s gotten to the point where I feel like I’ve created her in my head. I need to reach out in some way. I would love to write her a letter or something, because she played such a big role in [Sadie’s character] Max’s journey. I owe her so much.”
