Kaytranada has teamed up with Anderson .Paak for a new song called Twin Flame. The song makes their first collaboration in six years, the pair had previously teamed up on the track Glowed Up.

The 90s-inspired, black and white music video for the track was directed by .Paak himself and the rapper posted about the track on Instagram writing, “Linked back up with my brother @Kaytranada for another classic banger. Twin flame song and video out now!

“PS: Thanks for trusting me to direct this one an shout out to my amazing team who made it possible.”

Twin Flame arrives nearly one year after Kaytranda’s 2021 three-track EP Intimidated, which featured Thundercat, H.E.R. and Mach-Hommy. While the Grammy-winning producer released his second album, Bubba, in 2019, he’s currently on The Weeknd’s After Hours Til Dawn tour with fellow supporting acts Snoh Aalegra and Mike Dean.

Back in 2021, Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars joined forces as R&B and soul duo Silk Sonic, releasing debut album An Evening With Silk Sonic. The duo will continue their Las Vegas residency An Evening With Silk Sonic at Park MGM this month as .Paak is also prepping fifth album and first directed feature film K-POPS!, which will star both him and his son, Soul Rasheed.

“My mom is from Korea but she was adopted so I never knew anything about my Korean heritage until I met my wife. This movie is a reflection on my experience learning about this part of myself alongside my wife and son – and spending even more time with them!” .Paak said about the film in a statement. “I knew this would be something I should write and direct, and Stampede Ventures took a chance and trusted that I could pull this off. I’m excited to bring it to the big screen.”
