Kraftwerk Announce Nine-Date Residency In Los Angeles
Kraftwerk have announced a nine-night residency at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, during which they’ll perform eight of their albums in their entirety.
The electronic pioneers previously performed a celebrated residency at the same venue in 2013. Their new concert season coincides with the 50th anniversary of their landmark album Autobahn. The legendary German outfit will perform that album first on the opening night, set for Tuesday, 21 May, with performances of Radio-Activity, Trans Europe Express, The Man-Machine, Computer World, Techno Pop, The Mix, and Tour de France Soundtracks to follow over the next seven shows. Kraftwerk will then wrap up the residency on Thursday, 30 May by performing a greatest hits set. Tickets for the shows are now on sale.

Kraftwerk was founded in 1970 by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider — the latter of whom died of cancer in May 2020 — in Düsseldorf, Germany. By the mid-1970s, Kraftwerk had achieved international recognition for their revolutionary electronic soundscapes and musical experimentation using robotics and other technological innovations, including synthetic voices and computerized rhythms. The group had a major international influence across a range of music genres and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2021.
