It’s Gallagher’s 14th UK No 1 album across a career spanning three decades. Surprisingly, it’s Squire’s first UK No 1 album.
Speaking to Official Charts after receiving the news, Gallagher and Squire said: “Thanks to everybody that went out and bought this, it means a lot!”
Liam Gallagher said in a statement when the joint album was released, “I can’t wait for people to hear the album. I think the people that are into the Stone Roses and Oasis and that kinda thing, I think they’ll fucking love it. It’s spiritual, it’s crucial. LG x”.
The coming months look set to be busy for Gallagher, who is heading out on tour with John Squire in March, followed by the star’s hugely-anticipated shows to mark 30 years of the release of Definitely Maybe, which kicks off in Sheffield on 1 June.
