Megan Thee Stallion Shares Video For ‘Ungrateful’: Watch
Megan Thee Stallion has shared a new music video for Ungrateful, the latest single from her current album Traumazine. Directed by Colin Tilley, the visual for her Key Glock collaboration opens with Megan in the bedroom and follows her on her way to a funeral, where she meets a doppelgänger of herself dressed in white. Watch the video below.
Traumazine saw Megan work with guests including Rico Nasty, Jhené Aiko, Key Glock, Latto, and Pooh Shiesty. The Good News and Something for Thee Hotties follow-up includes the spring single Plan B, the Future collaboration Pressurelicious, and Sweetest Pie with Dua Lipa.
Megan discussed the new album in an interview with Rolling Stone. “I want to take you through so many different emotions,” she said. “At first you was twerking, now you might be crying.” She added: “I just always want people to remember, ‘Yes, Megan Thee Stallion, she was great, she was a rapper. She was one of the best rappers, the coldest.’” The rapper recorded at Criteria Studios in North Miami, and she worked with producer Murda Beatz on the song Gift & A Curse.
Last week, Megan Thee Stallion guest-starred in Marvel’s She-Hulk: Attorney At Law series on Disney+. The rapper appeared briefly in the third episode of the show, first as a shapeshifting elf that takes the form of Megan Thee Stallion to defraud an associate of She-Hulk. During the trial of said liar, the rapper appeared as herself to jeer the elf. “There’s only one Megan Thee Stallion,” she declares before delivering her signature tongue-out taunt (“ah!”).
The show’s head writer Jessica Gao said Megan Thee Stallion’s cameo was good for the show. “We didn’t even know that we could dream that big,” she admitted. “When we wrote the script, all we knew was we needed to have a female celebrity who was very famous, very successful, and very beautiful. But we didn’t know if it was going to be an actress, or a model, or a musician. And depending on who it was, we knew we’d probably have to tweak the story a little bit to fit whoever we ended up casting.”
