Nile Rodgers + CHIC, Sting Confirmed For 2024 ‘Forest Live’ Concerts
Nile Rodgers + CHIC and Sting are the first big names confirmed to perform at the UK’s ‘Forest Live’ concert series next year.
Sting will be backed by an electric rock ensemble when he takes to the stage at Delamere Forest, Thetford Forest and Sherwood Pines with his ‘My Songs 2024’ concert, treating fans to some of his biggest hits from both his solo career and his time with The Police.
Meanwhile, Nile and his band will be bringing party vibes to Delamere Forest, Sherwood Pines, Dalby Forest and Westonbirt Arboretum, supported by both Sophie Ellis-Bextor and 80s-inspired pop band Deco. Tickets for all shows will go on sale from 3 November.
Further names for Forest Live will be announced in the coming months, but for now fans can sign up for information, announcements and exclusive pre-sale access at the official Forest Live website.
Forestry England uses the money generated by the concerts to maintain the natural areas and run conservation projects, with last year seeing them plant 7.4 million trees and welcoming 291 million visits across the nation’s 1,500 woods and forests.
Elsewhere Nile Rodgers & CHIC recently played NPR’s Tiny Desk concert series. Rodgers led his band through an intimate, but still electrifying, performance spanning his groundbreaking body of work as an artist, bandleader, songwriter, and producer, highlighted by such truly timeless classics as Le Freak, I’m Coming Out, We Are Family, Get Lucky, Good Times, and a very special encore of David Bowie’s Rodgers-produced hit Let’s Dance.
