Paolo Nutini Announces Huge Scottish Date At Edinburgh’s Royal Highland Showground

Paolo Nutini has announced that he will be playing in Edinburgh in August – and it’s his only Scottish date of the year. The singer-songwriter heading to the Royal Highland Showground on Thursday, 31 August, and will be joined by special guests Inhaler and The Big Moon. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, with presale beginning at 9am and general sale kicking off at 10am.

The Paisley-born singer-songwiter announced the news on Instagram, writing: “Scotland We are back in Edinburgh this August for our only Scottish show of the year with @inhalerdublin and @thebigmoon Pre sale tickets 9am Friday 28th July General Sale 10am Friday 28th July.”

In 2022, Nutini returned to active duty with the release of his fourth album, Last Night in the Bittersweet, which was well received from fans and critics across the world. The album also topped charts in the UK, Ireland, Netherlands and Italy.

Following a hugely successful run of five sold out shows at OVO Hydro, Glasgow in December 2022, Paolo broke the attendance record for a music act at the venue when over 68,000 fans came out to hear the new album performed live.

Having toured America and Australia earlier in the year, Nutini has been on the European festival circuit this summer, and will return to Scotland for the show at the Royal Highland Showground next month. Last week, he performed at Suffolk’s Latitude Festival, along with The Kooks, Pulp, Metronomy, The Lightning Seeds, The Proclaimers and more.

Inhaler hail from Dublin and recently released their second album, Cuts & Bruises which reached number one in the Irish album charts. They previously supported Paolo Nutini in Brighton and recently played festival sets at TRNSMT and Glastonbury.

Two of Nutini’s three previous albums, Sunny Side Up and Caustic Love, also hit No.1 on the UK album charts as he amassed 8 million global album sales, 8 million UK single sales, and 1.5 billion global streams. The Ivor Novello winner and multiple BRIT Award nominee has also collected a remarkable 18 Platinum certifications in the UK alone.
