Peter Hook & The Light Announce 2025 North American Tour
Peter Hook & the Light have announced a 2025 North American tour where they’ll play New Order’s 2001 album Get Ready in full, as well as a handful of other New Order and Joy Division favourites.
The tour follows Peter Hook & the Light’s 2024 outing, which saw Hook and his band performing the Joy Division and New Order singles compilations Substance in full. Now, Hook is preparing for a major celebration of Get Ready, which served as New Order’s first album in eight years upon its release in 2001 as well as the final album with their original line-up.

The 13-date North American run begins with a show in Montreal on 22 May and continues through the East and Midwest, hitting cities like Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Nashville, St. Louis, Atlanta, New Orleans, Orlando, and more. “Get Ready was a honeymoon record,” said Peter Hook in a statement. “Looking back now it was very enjoyable to make, and I think is massively underrated. It did sort the wheat from the chaff and led to a New Order mk2 which played better but had lost a naivety whilst gaining a maturity. Barney and I became a ‘power couple’ in Manchester during the making of the record but, sadly, the old problems recurred when we came to play live. The writing was on the wall from then on. The two of us worked very hard to make this a great record and I think we succeeded. I am looking forward to playing all the tracks, many of which have never been played live before. The Light will shine through … Get Ready!”
Elsewhere, New Order’s ‘definitive edition’ box set of their fourth studio album, Brotherhood, will be released via Warner Music on 22 November. The set comprises two CDs, two DVDs and an LP. It’s the fourth in the series of limited edition definitive boxsets which includes Movement (2019), Power, Corruption and Lies (2020) and Low-Life (2023).
