Sam Ryder On Course For UK No 1 With His Debut Album
Sam Ryder looks set to score a UK No 1 with his debut album. There’s Nothing But Space, Man! is heading towards the top spot on the Official Albums Chart, the Official Charts Company has confirmed.

The Eurovision star – who claimed the UK’s highest points score ever at the competition in Turin earlier this year before landing the highest-charting entry of any UK Eurovision contestant in 26 years – is out-selling his nearest competition, US alt-R&B singer SZA, by nearly two to one at the midweek stage.
There’s Nothing But Space, Man!, which features the No 2 hit SPACE MAN, looks likely to become the first debut album by a solo artist to hit No 1 in the UK since Olivia Rodrigo’s Sour in 2021.
In an open letter to fans when the album was announced, Sam said “This year for myself and the team has been one filled with so many blessings, opportunities and dreams coming to fruition. To create a body of work throughout this time representing aspects of our journey feels like the highest honour and a beautiful way to redirect the flow of energy back to the people who are making this whirlwind possible – you. Biggest thank yous, and I hope you enjoy it!”
