“I love working with Simon Emmett. Everything we have collaborated on has turned out great so far. This is no exception,” frontman Justin Hawkins revealed in a statement.
“The concept is related to the self-loathing that the song itself lyrically explores. And I feel like the visual accompaniment has taken this song to the next level, and it was already my favourite Darkness song ever.
“I can’t wait for everybody to see it – it means a lot to me… and I’m here for the conversation. I love you all. It was already my favourite Darkness song ever, it means a lot to me… and I’m here for the conversation.”
Hawkins said of the single on its release back in December, “At last, a joyous, raucous celebration of self-loathing. I think without regrets we stand to learn less from our experiences – to deny them and compartmentalise them is to deny ourselves an opportunity to grow.
“So, it’s time for us to sing this uplifting ode to remorse in the hope that we don’t make the same mistakes again and history does not repeat itself.”
The Darkness are set to embark on a UK headline tour in March, with shows including a date at the OVO Arena Wembley in London. They’ll also make an appearance at Download Festival 2025 this summer.
